Video Signal stops when I start a game or 3DMark benchmark

I just upgraded my PC to an R5 1600 from a Pentium G4400.

I have no issues with web browsing, but when I try to start a game I completely lose video signal. I can still hear any audio and there are no changes to my PC visually looking in the window.

I have no idea why it's doing this.

I'm running a Strix 970 factory overclocked card. This card previously ran on a 430 EVGA white rated PSU and is now powered by a 550w Seasonic gold PSU, so I know that is not the issue. Could it be my cable extensions? Not sure why it would be considering everything else works fine.

Try lowering the clock speed using MSI Afterburner, maybe it somehow degraded and wont reliably run it's factory overclock anymore.

Idk how that’s possible when it was working just fine yesterday.

I have tried running DDU in safe mode, reinstalled drivers, reseated GPU, set power setting to adaptive in nvidia control panel... idk what to do at this point.

I tried a clean install of windows and it didn’t work either.

Are you able to try a different monitor? Since it is only freaking out in games/3d stuff it seems like some kind of output signal issue like the resolution or refresh is too high for the monitor. Odd one.

It was the power supply. Tested the system with another one and had no issues.
