First PC build. Would then upgrade it.

Hi. I am a teen in the UK. I have never built a PC and neither have my parents (they don't really like computers). I would like to build a PC for under £300 then upgrade it when I have the money. I don't need a monitor, keyboard or mouse and I will run Linux on it because it's free (but in the future I might try a dual boot with Windows as well). I don't do much gaming other than Flight Simulator X and I would like to play Fortnight but as I need Windows that won't happen straight away. It will mainly be used for programming and homework. My upgrade plane is: 1-Add a gt 1030, 2-Change to CPU and mobo to a Ryzen 3 and a MSI B350m PRO-VDH. 3-Add an SSD and Windows.

Here is what I would like to start with. Can someone check it over for me please.

Thanks for taking time to reply. FYI the RAM you added isnt available. RAM is at least £80 for 8gb. Also I want a B350 board or there is not point in having an AM4 mobo

If you go that way you'll likely end up getting rid of a lot of those components.

What you could also consider is checking out lists like this https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Refurb/Refurbished+Systems where you can get various different things to act as starting points.

I would like to build my own. I can reuse everything except the mobo and CPU can't I. I currently have a laptop with a Pentium B960 so I want it ASAP. It will be May before I can upgrade anything major. Thanks for replying anyway

It's £25 more and I would probably want a new mobo for 4 RAM slots.
