Can a Ryzen 7 1700 + GTX 1080 Run AAA Tiles well with G-Sync and @ 1440p 165hz?

It is all in the title, lol. Is my build strong enough to support that?

Run them well, yes. Get 165fps in most games? No. You really want a 1080 ti for 1440p 144+

So it isn't the CPU that holds the frames back, it is the GPU? I thought my GPU was powerful enough, it'd be my processor if anything, XD

The CPU is actually fine for it because the higher resolution the more it depends on the GPU. Going from a 1080 to 1080 ti makes a HUGE difference.

Will frames jump around if I run a monitor like that? I don't want 100 fps to 60 fps to 90 fps to 140 fps, and so on. Is there any way to keep the frames steady?
