I have asus rog 278q monitor and my I have 3 options ( 144hz, 120hz and 60hz) While playing witcher 3 all maxed out I have 90 fps average . Want to use g-sync . Should I lock to 90 fps or sth like that to fully use g-sync? And how should I do it ? Should I use V-sync in game?

Thank you.

Leave monitor at 144hz, G-Sync on and V-Sync on and will work great.

V-sync in game or in 3dsettings?

Either way works. I just set it up in global settings personally.

use gsync if you have it, not v sync unless you like input lag..

I dunno why people experience input lag with v-sync. I have v-sync on in roughly every game I play and I have yet to experience any type of input lag.

When I dont use V-sync my fps goes sometimes to 5000 in witcher when playing card games.

Is it ok>?

V-Sync acts as a frame limit. It will top your GPU out at the same refresh rate as your panel, in your case 144 hz. When you turn off V-Sync your GPU will generate as many frames as it can. However this is not necessarily a good thing as you get screen tear which is what V-Sync aims to alleviate.

He has to top 144hz for that to happen.. good luck with that especially in TW3

1080ti will do that without issues at 1080p especially with a good overclock.

I would lock your FPS at 144 with G-Sync ON. The goal is to get the same FPS as your monitors refresh rate. I think that is what G-Sync is designed to do.
