GTX 980TI 6700k

i play RPG/MMO games mostly, but dabble into FPS sometimes as well. (mainly Overwatch and DOOM)

what would you recommend?

Are you asking if you should get two 1080p 144hz versus only one 1440p 60hz? Or would you get dual monitors regardless?

thanks for the reply, sorry about the late reply on my part! I would get dual monitors regardless, though at my price point (about 800 - 900 canadian) my 1440p options would be limited.

i'm mainly wondering what would be a much more noticeable difference over my current 1080p 60hz single monitor setup, while still being cost effective.

also which would be harder to run? i only have a single GPU setup currently, and wasn't planning on changing that if need be.

I agree with waffle, I think 1080p @ 144hz would look the best. I don't think you'd wanna game on two monitors, though. I would say game on one and have the other one available for web browsing and whatnot. If you game on both, you're going to be annoyed by the edge of the monitors in the center of your view.

Anyway, 1080p still looks great in my opinion.
