I already made a £900 topic earlier and both people who replied used a 1070. I want to see what people can come up with an RX 480. So the rest of the build has a theme that ISN'T Black and Red, try something adventurous. I'm just trying to get different idea's incase I want to change my build.

You clearly know the standard approach, but I do wanna know what the expected resolution you're looking for. 1440p would be a bit marginal with a single 480, as I'm sure you know.

I decided to go challenge-mode with my approach and make a Tiny Gamer!

I'm still debating what resolution to go with because I really wan't an ultra wide and the X34 Predator wouldn't be the best idea with an RX 480. As for 2560x1440, As for 2560x1440 Vinyl_Scratch_ Seems to be set on that I shouldn't go with a 2560x1080 because it isn't a good idea because the 29" ones have a smaller vertical height than a 24" but I just don't know what I shouldgo for. What do you think I should do? P.S. I'm fine with turning settings down a little to get 30fps @1440p

P.P.S. I am future-making my part's list's because I won't actually be building until Christmas and getting the monitor for my Birthday (February).

I like the look of this build actually. What do you think of this one? I think for fairly obvious reasons it winds by aesthetics but I do like nice compact builds, its like having another console but then its actually a pc (If you know what I mean). Lastly, would the X41 not be a better choice or would it not fit in that case because its a 140mm?

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping you would come up with something :-)

I didn't check to see if the x41 was compatible, I just liked the price on the 31. Your list looks great too. I'd keep an eye out on the Rx 490 since it's likely that it can perform near the level of the 1070 but for a price of $300. The performance is speculation based on extrapolation of the specs of the 480, while the price is based on a number of business and marketing models released by AMD.

If the 490 is $300, I will definitely go for it. There has been a lot of 980's on Gumtree (Basically craigslist) and a couple of them have been up for £200 so I might go for one of them if I can depending on the 490's performance and price.

That's great price for the 980. Hopefully it's from people rushing to get the Pascal cards, and not miners that have exhausted them...

The problem is pricing is all over the place right now. 970's are going for £160 because the 980/RX 480 is going for £200-£250 because the 980 ti is going for £300-£350 All of this is due to the 1070 for £380...

Haven't really considered mATX builds but this looks nice.
