My pc didn't like me trying to run BF4...

Tried playing BF4 on this... It didn't go well for the most part. I was on the test range and was getting 50fps+ on high settings with almost no stuttering and I thought great! Lets try online then :D

I have never been so wrong with thinking, I'll just turn the settings down a bit and It'll be fine!

I was on the lowest settings @720p, with resolution scale set to 25% so it looked like an old fighter game from the 90's, I was struggling to hit 20fps. It didn't change no matter what settings, so its the cpu that was crippling trying to run it...

I was playing TDM on floodzone and it was 32 vs 32 so that might have been a contributing factor, Ahem.

rip me

With all those fans itll feel like a turbine! hehehe!

Yeah, its an awkward setup. 3 at the top, 3 a bottom then one at the back and I think I should be able to run them at 50% so its quiet.

At least any temps you will get will not be caused by a lack of airflow

Yeah ;D If you look at the case, you will see the awkward setup for it.

Have you looked at overclocking the CPU? Even on the stock cooler you might could get a solid .3-.5 ghz which wold help alot on that CPU.

Hmm... could you help me with it? I don't know much when it comes to overclocking.

First off does it run at 3.5 or 3.9ghz when gaming?

3880Mhz- 3900Mhz is what the range of it

  • 1 point

right so 3.9ghz.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tztHRfFGo2E here you can see it is possible to play that game well on that CPU.

I would try a little overclock to 4.2ghz, with no voltage increase and see what that does. Might need voltage but it's worth a try without.

Well you have a dual core AMD APU so yeah...If I was you I would overclock the ram as high as possible along with the APU which you should be able to do on the stock cooler since its the same on used on the 95W/100W CPU's.

The cpu is at 4.3Ghz stable now, but I have a gtx 660 so wouldn't it be pointless overclocking the igpu?

  • 1 point

It would be 100% pointless to do.
