Good wireless adapter for gaming?

I'm a teenager so I don't think that my parents would like to have a long cord that stretches across the entire house just so that I can play video games all night. So instead of bugging them about it, seems easier to get a wifi adapter. I know that it won't be as good as ethernet, THAT'S FINE, I just want a recommendation for a stable connecting wifi card. Preferably under $50, I really don't know how much a good wifi card costs...

You could use Ethernet over mains, get a pair of Mains - Ethernet adapter plugs and a pair of ethernet cables and you should be good to go should be fairly cheap too

Wired is better, but this is a solid PCIe wireless adapter. It has bluetooth too! http://pcpartpicker.com/product/tTdqqs/gigabyte-wireless-network-card-gcwb867di
