So I can get the Audio to work via the SPDIF out on the sound card but it wouldn't let me use my mic. Also, the usb that turns on the Mix Amp Pro is connected to the motherboard, so even if I don't have the SPDIF out on the soundblaster, it would be using the sound card on my motherboard, and I don't want that... I'm just trying to get the mic working on the sound blaster card. I'm a complete noob at this D:. Am I supposed to connect a mic input separately? If that's so then sadly my mix amp doesn't have hole that lets me connect a wire between the sound card and the amp.

Edit: Also, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the Line-In on the recording tab means..

the soundcard and the mixamp are really not meant to be used together... the mixamp does its own thing and just needs to be hooked up to the motherboards i/o...

you need to make sure to hook the usb up... the voice and power for the mixamp is done over usb and the headset plugs into the headset jack. If you skipped the usb, then this is part of the issue. you also need to install the astro software ( http://www.astrogaming.com/software/software.html ). and set the astro headset as the default communications device, not just the regular default.... the default com device is the one it uses for voice chats, so that part is important and I see in your photos you didn't do it yet. (also do that within steam)

yeah the soundcard and mixamp really shouldn't be used together. i'd stick with mixamp only and use it through USB ONLY, no SPDIF, so that way your audio is uncompressed and your mic should work
