Remember that the effectiveness of these relys on how the house is wired. Sometimes they work amazingly, and other times they don't work at all.

Damn, so the only way is to try one out? I dont really have money to throw so if they dont work im screwed.Got any suggestions? Thanx for the reply!

Purchase from local BestBuy or such where refund is allowed if device fails to work/work well.

As far as wiring goes, they typically won't work if the two outlets are on different poles, but work great if they are on the same pole. If you look at the breaker box for your house, the breakers on the left are all on the same pole. The ones on the right are on the same pole. If the breaker that controls each outlet is on the same side as the other, then they're on the same pole. The reason they don't work if they are on different poles is because the two circuits aren't connected within the house and the signal gets diffused at the transformer.
