High RAM usage without using anything

Hey guys so I have been dealing with this RAM issue for a little while now and I don't know what to do.

For some reason my RAM will not clear or something. At boot up, everything is normal, low RAM usage and whatnot. It's currently 8:30pm here, and as of now my CPU usage gadget is showing that a whopping 13/16gb of RAM is in use, which is absolutely impossible since I only have this tab of Chrome open. I even went through the pain of adding up all the processes in task manager, and the RAM usage didn't come close. In short, 80% of my RAM is being used for nothing.

If anyone could back to me on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you searched the web? Could be malware download Malwarebytes or scan with an anti virus. This problem has never happened to me before but I hope you fix it good luck!!

Did you check all processes from all users in task manager? Sounds like a memory leak.

Yeah open up task manager and sort all processes by memory. The process using up the most memory will be on top. See what it is and kill it
