urrr, I was thinking a 95w/105w desktop. I'm not going to commit myself to a threadripper, unless it's one of the lesser 1st-gen TR's. LOL

If you want to put a 280w rated TDP 3970X into that case, I'm thinking that your username is apropos, and you don't need my advice.....

Yeah. if I end up going for it, a current i5 will be the ticket. My username actually has a story behind it. I was at a friend birthday party and I was maybe 5 or 6, and we were having pizza. As all 6 year olds do, i made a mess eating, but apparently i made an even bigger mess, because a girl that was at the party said "come here saucy, I want to show you something"
