Yea it is weird. The two fans spin at one speed no matter what I set them to, and they only rev up to full speed after waking the PC, but then it settles back down to the 'silent' setting. Wish we had one more fan header on this board so we wouldn't need a splitter but this will have to do. Not sure how much effect PWM control would have on the temps of the PC anyway

Mine spin up to full speed then go down to minimal speed but then I found out that sometimes my fans wouldnt be spinning at all (on PWM) which is what made me switch it to DC mode where at least the fans will stay spinning. I have yet to do any testing on if my fans are speeding up/slowing down with my CPU temps, but like you said, it probably doesnt have much affect anyway. Im fine with keeping them on a low RPM to keep dB down. But also make sure your fans are infact spinning cuz mine werent sometimes on PWM
