No offence, like, really don't take this as any offence, (lol) but I always thought the Boy Scouts as something stupid. When I participated, (I never got to eagle, but got far enough :P) it never seemed that we would do the kind of adventure-stuff that was always implied when you say "I'm going to the boyscouts' trip". Also, there's always the "Pledge of Allegiance" and stuff along those lines and learning about the great presidents of America, but I don't agree with all of that they teach you, (including the religion I was taught in my "Pack". So, yeah, don't know why I felt the need to say that, but uhh...
On a lighter note, (heh heh) I was wondering if you guys could look at my part list (Marc's Build New), I think I'm going to put a computer together this summer, and I've fiddled with components in old Dell's and such but never was whiz. Could you guys give me some feedback?
I can see where you got what you are thinking but it really depends on the group you are with. Some groups tend to do more adventurous stuff such as rock climbing and white water rafting while others tend to do more of the "book work". There are always different things to look into when picking a troop.
Cub scout packs are not meant to do as much of the adventure stuff as they are composed of kids from 1st - 5th grade. They are how ever meant to help kids learn important values!
