PCPartPicker is now tracking prices for recent software releases across a variety of categories. We've added tracking for:

This selection joins our existing listings of operating systems.

Quick note: Games are on our roadmap. We're working on getting them added, but we don't have an ETA on them yet.

I wish they would add support for custom watercooling parts

-dudeomfgstufx- 3 points 17 months ago

This is great. It could be better if you have tracking and other options for water cooling. Like pumps, reservoirs and pipes along with other things need to setup a water rig.

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 4 points 17 months ago

We'd love to add water cooling. There are a couple things we need to do to support it first. Then it's data entry - which for things like fittings is pretty daunting since there are literally thousands of variations of them in various colors, sizes, types, etc.

-dudeomfgstufx- 2 points 17 months ago

Okay, so are you saying that in the future theirs a possibility of offering it, or is it off the table.

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 4 points 17 months ago

I'm saying there's a possibility. It's just a ton of work to do it the way we want to do it (properly in my opinion).

-dudeomfgstufx- 2 points 17 months ago

Thanks, thats good to know.

Rpkiller 1 point 15 months ago

can you guys add ekwb to the AIO section?

190n 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Is this the "new site" you were talking about?

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Oh no, this isn't it. That's been delayed until tomorrow.

190n 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

One more day to find it, muahahahahahaha

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Hey, if you find it before tomorrow, feel free to announce it. :) It's ready to go but the timing didn't fit right for today.

190n 2 Builds 2 points 17 months ago

Is it a completely new domain, a subdoman of pcpartpicker.com, or a path on pcpartpicker.com?

190n 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Don't count on it.

piemancoder 1 point 17 months ago

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

sad face :(

190n 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Are you going to pull a list of games from Steam/Origin or something like that? I feel like it'd be extremely difficult to get a list that would satisfy everybody: "Hey, SuperTuxKart [an open-source ripoff of Mario Kart] isn't on the list!"

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

We do want to incorporate games from multiple sources, but we think that'll take some time to get right.

Bespers 1 point 17 months ago

one place for steam games is isthereanydeal.com im fairly certain they have most games

rhali8 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Did I just hear... GAMES!??!?!?!1??!?!/!!/1?!1/!?1??!!1///1?!!?

RASQ 1 point 17 months ago

Still no Linux in the Operating Systems section... :(

Mariomash 1 Build 2 points 17 months ago

Isn't it free???

RASQ 3 points 17 months ago

Yeah but I'd like to be able to add it to the build list.

Jtergan 1 point 17 months ago

They don't plan to add Linux anytime soon

Mobilizer 1 point 17 months ago

My man, Linux is free!

Been using Linux Mint Cinnamon flavor for months. :-)

It's probably the best transition for Windows users.

Jtergan 1 point 17 months ago

Finally! A more complete build now. I can finally stop using the custom part button for now.

Erolian 1 point 17 months ago

Is there a plan to incorporate network components like Access Points, Routers, Switches...etc in the future?

Edit: Also NAS, Raid cards

linuxfanatic 1 point 17 months ago

Philip, I have a suggestion: Why not add Linux distros to the software section, with the default price as "Free"?

Tooth 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Glad to see a "backup". So many here build a sweet shiny new pc and don't think about the "what if's"........Which leads to.."I should have made a backup!" :)

Xorex64 1 point 17 months ago

Heres an idea, For the games, can you include system requirements for games? That wiuld be great.

Mollevik 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

You should definitely add a sd card reader to it.

ShadowGaming93 1 point 17 months ago

still needs daw's like fl studio, abelton, reason, cubase

BoyScout staff 9 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

I'll add those to the TODO list.

kalef21 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Sweet this is actually really nice if I needed to shop for one of these; you can make sure to get a really low price!

Payton_Auth 1 point 16 months ago

GAMES!? This needs to happen

[comment deleted by staff]
Payton_Auth 1 point 16 months ago

No lol

Charcoal_ 1 point 15 months ago

I want lighting tracking!

BoyScout staff 9 Builds 1 point 15 months ago

do you have some examples of what you'd like to see?

Charcoal_ 1 point 15 months ago

NZXT, BitFenix, some other mainstream and less popular ones. I don't have much expericence with lighting so wouldn't know. It'd be handy to see it here.

ZaBlock 1 point 15 months ago

I would like to see some CAD software like solidworks or NX10

BoyScout staff 9 Builds 2 points 15 months ago

I'll see what we can do. Thanks for the feedback!

The_Duck_Expert 1 point 15 months ago

It would be a nice feature to add a GPU cooler. I am running a Corsair H75 on my Gigabyte HD7970 Ghz with a NZXT Kraken G10 bracket, but can't add it, unless it is a custom part

For operating systems we incorporate a lot of compatibility checks and warnings. For instance different OS versions (Home vs Pro etc) have different max RAM values, so we warn if you exceed those values.

190n 2 Builds 6 points 17 months ago

Just like Microsoft to put arbitrary limits on hardware...

WEEEEE 1 point 17 months ago

Yeah. I was making a build with over 512 GB of RAM the other day, and it warned me that Windows is not compatible. You guys think of everything, don't you?

Seriously, I'm not joking. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pFKCxr

XxD34THxX 2 points 17 months ago

Looks like you are gonna have to go to enterprise... Scotty will beam you up in a moment.

Growliff1234 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Windows is like Too... much.. compute...

dynCysgodol 1 point 17 months ago

1TB of ram? Sounds like the coolest ram disk ever to me...

WEEEEE 1 point 17 months ago

Stores entire OS along with some programs on RAM and files ... still has over 500 GB RAM left.

Only problem is that the RAM consumes about 700W.

dynCysgodol 1 point 17 months ago
  • its volatile memory so you'd have to install each time you rebooted :P until the days of 5000 MB read ssds I guess.

XxD34THxX 1 point 17 months ago

Will this work with Linux by any chance? My assumption is no, due to the thousands of Distros...

WEEEEE 1 point 17 months ago

It would be cool if they had some of the common Distros. Then the uncommon ones could be added in manually to builds via custom parts.

XxD34THxX 2 points 17 months ago

ie Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint(All basically the same under the hood with major/minor tweaks), Zorin, Fedora, and Elementary OS? Also Kali because pentesting is amazing and fun

BoyScout staff 9 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Kaspersky Internet and Total Security should be in now. Adobe CC will hopefully be added soon as well.

If you think of any other suggestions for software, feel free to post them in the Part Additions forum!

BoyScout staff 9 Builds 1 point 16 months ago

Sorry I missed this earlier, but I've now added the assorted variants of Vegas Pro 13 to the software listings. Prices should start filling in over the next couple hours. If you have any other suggestions for missing software, feel free to let me know or post them in the Part Additions forum.
