Description

So I built this to replace my 2 year old laptop which one day just died. I'm very satisfied with this build. I can do some gaming, do some programming, 3D modeling, and just browse the web. I also mainly built this so I could do my robotics stuff at home (Shout out to FIRST Team 862!). So here's the breakdown...

CPU: Pretty good CPU for gaming in my opinion. I get some killer performance on modded Minecraft (100+ mods adds up quick). I can also have a virtual machine running MAC Snow Leopard OS at a really good speed. I have no complaints over all because this CPU fits all I need it to do.

CPU Cooler: I just got this actually because the stock cooler was really bad. Works amazingly and is very silent.

Motherboard: I actually bought 2 Motherboards, the one listed here (Guard Pro) and the AS Rock Z87 Extreme 3. Both are amazing boards however, some of the CPU pins on my AS Rock board so I had to get a new board. I really have no complaints of both boards.

Memory: It's just RAM to me. Gets the job done. No complaints here.

Hard Drive: I love SSDs. they have amazing performance and are super fast. My only complaint is not enough storage space but I can easily get another SSD or a HDD.

GPU: Epic video card. No complaints.

Case: This is a pretty cool case I'm not going to lie. My only complaint I have is everything in the case breaks quite easily. But other than that, it gets the job done.

PSU: This is a sore spot in my build. I made the mistake of going with a non modular PSU. so I have extra wires everywhere and I don't like that. I also didn't leave enough room for upgrades either in my opinion. But other than that, it gets the job done currently.

Optical Drive: It works... (yay?)

Wireless Adapter: Since both Motherboards didn't come with built in wireless, I had to get this. I have no complaints gets teh job done and doesn't produce much heat.

So what do you all think? I would appreciate feedback (good or bad)

I like this build for the power it brings and for the lower price but i still don't understand why people would take a slower Iintel processer over a more powerful AMD processer, especially when AMD's are significantly cheaper.

Intel is better for gaming. AMD is better for multitasking. Intel=Higher single thread performance AMD=More cores

Hello quick question. I have the same case as you and im currently having trouble installing a 120mm fan in the from of the case. it looks like from the photo that you have successfully installed it. Can you tell me how?

Thanks!
