Description

Here's an obligatory picture of the PC guts.

Here's an album of everything (explanation below)

I have a minimalist-style setup with my docking station and XPS 13 for work/productivity. It was my goal to get a budget MicroATX build that would fit inside the desk cabinet so I could preserve the minimal look of everything. I have a KVM switch for my docking station and gaming PC, so the peripherals are shared between both. It's working out really, really nicely.

Yes, I did take a circular saw to the back of my desk for air flow so y'all wouldn't yell at me. I picked this Versa case because it's sturdy, cheap, and was amazing to build in. It's out of sight, so I had no need for windows and RGB etc.

I've had this LG ultra-wide for productivity for quite a while. It just so happens that it has FreeSync, so I landed a sweet deal on a Vega 56.

I tried to keep it under a grand, and actually managed to keep it under $900 so I'm really happy:

I actually like cable management lol, and (maybe) it helps with air flow?

Unless it's really bad to where it's actually blocking a section, a few cables are negligible, the air will still circulate through. Yours are completely out of the way so you're good though.

Did you really trap your pc in a cabinet?!?!?!!

I took a circular saw to the back of my desk and I keep the front cabinet open while gaming. Why is this a bad thing? I wanted to preserve the minimal look of my work station. I'm not a fan of the huge RGB seizure-inducing disco ball setups I always see.

How are temps?

They're good. Under load the Vega keeps it under 65c, and the case has plenty of room for more 120mm fans.

Love the dedication to getting that VEGA card! Are the cooler colors addressable?
