Description

(the pictures were taken before I received the CPU) This was my first build I've always been a computer gamer so I figured its about time I invested the money and build one. I don't play very many graphically intense games mostly I stick to mobas but it's nice to have something that I can play other things if I want to. I am also a graphic designer spending a lot of time in front of a computer screen.

Excited for Wildstar(off topic)!!

Note: AMD FX-8350 stock fan is very loud. Also had to adjust voltage to keep temperature reasonable under load. Stress tested with Prime95 and CoreTemp (Low 17C High 52C).

My only complaints with this build is the cpu although I love the 8 core and how quick it runs it is a very hot chip w/ the stock fan. The Thermaltake case looks good but is a little cheap in construction and wire management was limited due to this but I only paid 47usd for it so not a huge deal.

How is it for gaming and editing?

Excellently priced rig, more pictures would be excellent.

Why didn't you buy the RAM in a kit? Maybe a detailed description would answer those type questions :)

I bought the ram as two separate sticks because it was cheaper than buying a bundle of two 4's or one 8gig.

So far it's been amazing for gaming I've only played DawnGate, League of legends and Firefall on it but all maxed out getting very good performance in terms of fps.

Only concern is still the Cpu running 30-40C will play games.

30-40c while playing games (especially any cpu intensive games) is darn good. If you browse the forums and other websites related to the topic, you will see many that are 60-70c under load.

Great build. I am also a graphic designer! What kind of graphics design?

I do mostly logo design, but sometimes I do spacescape renders using Photoshop and a mix of 3d applications.

Yea I thought this case had very poor cable management. Like you said it was a cheaper case and it did come with a lot of extra features cheaper cases don't come with.

Hows the case working out for you? I'm planning to use that case in a future build.

Did you need to install standoffs in your case?
