Description

Hello!

This build is made up of used and new parts. I wanted to build a HTPC for the longest time ever and here it is! It will mainly be used for entertainment but I also wanted to have a separate computer to run my FTP, Joomla, and Minecraft sever.

USED: CPU, XFX R9 290, SSD NEW: RAM, CASE, HDD, PSU

I spent a lot of time looking through craigslist for used parts and spotted an Intel Pentium G3258 so I decided to build around the CPU. Eventually, everything else came together.

I am really surprise that I was able to fit the XFX R9 290 with the NZXT Kraken G10 & Corsair H55 within this case! I might push this case further and install another liquid cooler for the CPU.

This case was really fun to build in and cable management wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, especially with a non-modular PSU. I highly recommend.

Overall, I am really happy with this build and price.

Nice Build, My favorite thing is recycling parts into new builds and Haswell is still going strong.

Like a dream! It handles everything I throw at it. I am considering a water cooler for the CPU so I can overclock it for gaming.

Did you have any trouble with the motherboard because it's saying that the CPU and the motherboard are not compatible

Nope, everything works as it should. Are you sure you're selecting the correct version? Perhaps there's another one. Best of luck!
