Description

So, this is my second build and my first Ryzen build. I'm pretty eager to see what I can extract from this combo. It's still a work in progress as I didn't want to complete it all at once. I'm waiting on sleeved cables to arrive, so I didn't spend too much time on cable management. MicroCenter is local to me, and had some super good deals during Black Friday... I managed to sell my first build and it covered everything but the GTX 1080.

I'll be using this as a personal CAD workstation, gaming rig, and I'd like to dabble in content creation as well (YouTube, Twitch, Ableton)

Does the upside down Thermaltake logo over the processor not drive you mad?

benchmarks?

I haven’t ran any benchmarks yet. I’m super swamped with work projects, so I’m still working on dialing everything. I will definitely post up stock and overclocked benchmarks though.

Hi, only a question... I saw your cpu cooler. Did you use the CPU_FAN of your motherboard ? Or only USB ?

I believe I have all the fans running into the hub, and the hub is controlled by the USB fan. The directions out of the box, and what I found on YouTube (from thermaltake) seemed to be a bit conflicting and confusing. Everything currently works, and reads just fine in the software.

What else were you gonna add? It's already a beast lol. BTW, I was wondering if you can see the rgb fans on the cooler from outside of the case. I've checked every build on the site that used that cooler but none of them have a picture that indicates you can :/. Regardless I think it's the nicest looking liquid cooler on the market :3

I finally ended up buying a 250gb SSD, since I was only on the 250gb NVMe. I’m going to end up getting white cables as a Birthday gift. So I can finally go after cable management. I don’t forsee any major hardware changes coming up anytime soon.

I’m having a hard time getting my ram to run at anywhere near 3000mhz. 2933/2966 don’t want to work either. I think the best I had it at was 2800.

Also I’d really like to get everything dialed in and benchmark it stock, and overclocked.
