Description

Annually we run a charity Xbox Gaming Tournament here at Team Xbox to help raise money for three charities who come on site.

Every year I do a couple of custom builds that we raffle off to help raise money as part of the event. The first was the McLaren build (which at the time of this post was actually being featured on here) and the second was this one, a Project Scorpio (the codename for the Xbox One X) themed PC.

Now, this was also sponsored by AMD so before telling me the Radeon card is Red and not green, I get it, but we are thankful for the parts and the support from Team Red on this build (even if it messes with the theme slightly).

All in all, another PC I am super happy with and I think it came out great and super clean.

The vinyls on the case came out great and it raised a bunch for charity!

If you want to catch a VOD of it being built you can see it here on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DmhAet26Uo&list=PLkrsjKCSfmwaY5w6CrEu7nv09XjNimExM&index=7&t=2s

You can also catch all the builds I do live on Mixer during the show RobeyTech every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm PT at mixer.com/robeyonekenobi

Xbox should launch that build as their new product. Nice in the outside and a beast on the inside.

Excellent and possible feature material here.

I remember when this console launched I missed out on the Scorpio preorder - I was having doubts at the time since so many Xbox box titles are also on the PC and I had a PS4 at the time. Ended up getting one and it has given decent service. Runs Red Dead Redemption 2 better than a $5000 PC and is still the only gaming device out there that gives access to the original Red Dead Redemption (which I actually prefer to number 2).

sorry I'm picky you said Xbox theme and went red amd card(no hate because anything under a 2070 super cant beat the 5700xt price and performance) and this inst a nick pick just a thing i would of done. For the aio cooler i would have done the aorus aio or i think its the asus one but they have a screen on the aio and you could of done the xbox logo which would of look cool

I would have to say my favorite part of this build is probably the modding that took place to help tie this build all together! You don't see too many builds that mod the cases to help put together a theme.

great external esthetics, great cooler and psu, .. / i get about the donation from AMD ... but, can you apply any skin on it? maybe?, or an acrylic plate maybe :V

the only thing i will hold against you is blower GPU why just why hhhhhh

  • -3 points

Spends 230 dollars on a motherboard and 245 dollars on ram, and 189 dollars on a case. Then spends 400 dollars on the graphics card.

Do not follow this build. Terrible efficiency.

Have a snickers. You're not you when you're hungry.

  • 2 points

I don't think the point of the build was to be budget/efficient. They obviously had a company behind them funding it.

  • -3 points

But there is basically no reason for it. You could have reorganized the money into better components. He could have gotten a better CPU or GPU or whatever. I know he is sponsored but it doesnt matter.

  • 4 points

AMD provided the GPU and CPU so that's why I used them.
