My first ever build is complete! I built this as my first gaming PC with intentions to largely use it for Rocket League, but I plan to use it to play many other games with friends and also use it for school. This was a budget build (everything minus the peripherals was ~$800), and I didn't go all out on aesthetics, but I still put effort in to make it look pretty cool. All the components are performing great and were easy to install and get running.
I went with the RX 590 because performance wise, it was more than enough for what I needed and the price was good. I didn't go with the nvidia counterpart because I was looking to find a good yet inexpensive monitor, and since free sync seems to be cheaper than g sync, I went with amd's GPU since they support free sync. I spent a whole day trying to get the GPU running properly, but the issue ended up simply being that the most recent driver was faulty so I had to install the 2nd most recent and it worked like a charm.
Aesthetically, I went with blue because a) i like blue, and b) the sapphire graphics card wouldn't really match with anything else. I got 2 rgb light strips and set it to a shade of blue, and then got some rocket league merch to fill the empty space of the case nicely!
I've never had a smoother experience playing rocket league then on this PC and I am so excited for all the fun I am gonna have with this build!
very very very very very goooooooooood
This mobo is great for what i was wanting (had an m.2 slot, neutral black and silver design, and aura sync). Only complaint right now is that the dang IO shield sucks! I heard thats always a tough part of a build in general, but that was garbage trying to fit the mobo to the shield.
These are great, I am still trying to figure out how to make sure they are running at the max speed they can go since, atleast with my pc, they start at 2133 and not the advertised 3200.
This product is fantastic. Easy to install and supppper fast
Probably the most frustrating part of my build, simply due to the driver situation. I installed it well, but once I was ready to start gaming, I learned that my gpu wasnt working. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers multiple times and I googled and watched youtube videos all day trying to troubleshoot. Annoyingly, the fix ended up being simply to download the 2nd most recent drivers and not the most recent. I was glad to confirm I didnt receive a bad gpu, but annoyed that amd's driver was the issue.
This is my first case to ever use, and so far I love it! I was looking for the perfect budget case that quality, functionality, and great aesthetics, and this has all of that. The panels are easy to remove and look nice, and there is plenty of space and great features, such as the white led fans. My only issue is that the thumb screws and standoffs for the motherboard are difficuly to work with and dont easily screw into the case. I dont know if this is a common hassle when building a pc, but it appeared to be more difficult than it should be. The IO shield for the motherboard snapped in nicely, but getting the motherboard to fit into it was a mess.
This is good, but the stock cables are kinda trash, so im gonna get extensions/sleeves.
Great monitor. Its totally adjustable and has a great picture. Yeah its a bit bright out of box, but you can fix those settings.
Honestly kinda cheap. The blue led is nice and what not, and the mechanical keys are nice to feel in comparison to normal keys, but even the keys feel cheaply made. Its great for now but I get this feeling its not going to have good longevity...
This is a good mouse, the rgb is easily customizable. I do kinda feel like the buttons are cheap and like it might not last a long time but we will see.
