This is a big refresh of a build I did 3 years ago (https://pcpartpicker.com/b/9PRG3C)
New mobo, CPU, GPU, RAM, and CPU cooler. Maybe "big refresh" is a little conservative, but hey, it still looks like my baby even though 2019 comes with a lot of RGB.
I'm using the old components from the original build and making another for a family member. I'll do another completed build for that one.
All-in-all, I've been really pleased with the performance boost from the FX-8350 to the 2700X. It's almost comical how fast this machine is now, especially with the Kraken X62 chilling its bones.
The difference between the R9 380 and the Vega 64 is also pretty ridiculous. I'm crushing new titles (Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is my current crush) at 60-75 fps on High (2560 x 1440).
The NZXT S340 continues to be stellar to work in. I've built a few in this case now (for friends & family) and never regretted it.
I use this machine for gaming, browsing, coding, and general foolery. Probably the most intensive thing I do is the gaming, and the new rig just slaps it around like nothing is happening.
