Hey everybody! Here's another cool build I got to put together with recycled parts.

This rig originally had an i5-2300 and a GT 440 in it. It was a bit better than a lot of other builds we get in since it actually had a pretty nice case and motherboard. We had a different rig with a bad RAM slot and an i7-2600k, so I decided to swap that CPU in and upgrade to an RX 560.

Otherwise, not as much of a story behind this one as some of my other builds, but I really liked the way it turned out. I'm not sure what model the NZXT case is, but it's nice and easy to work in. The powersupply might be a little iffy, but according to PCP, these parts are only going to be pulling in a little under 300W under load. Whoever becomes the new owner of this machine would probably want to upgrade the power supply before trying to throw in any higher TDP cards components, or try to overclock.

I benched it quick and got a 2003 on 3Dmark Time Spy and a 5301 on Fire Strike.

Please feel free to leave questions or comments and check out some of my other builds!

Still a nice CPU in 2018.

Cooler is nice. Impressive thermals, around 50-60C under normal load.

Haha, yeah. I've never seen a board quite like this one before. Pretty wacky.

Hah, that's awesome. If you're not stressing their max wattage, they can last for quite a while.
