Description

First ever build.

I was super anxious building it but it was a lot easier than I imagined. My computer didn't work at first and caused the circuit breaker to switch off because I had put one of the power supply screws in wrong, whoops.

I've been playing The Witcher 3 and Battlefield 1 and they run amazingly well on ultra presets in 1080 resolution (hairworks is nasty tho).

Only regrets I have are that the CPU cooler is very loud under load, even compared to other air coolers from what I've heard. Also, I should've gotten 140mm case fans but I didn't realise my case could fit them because I'm a dummy.

Try to improve you cable management. I linked a product here so the management of cable on the bottom can be improved.

Doesn't matter as much to me. There's enough airflow near the components that need it that it shouldn't be a problem and I can't see the cables when the case is closed due to its design. Thanks for the suggestion though.

If you want a quieter CPU cooler, try a lquid cooler

so your PSU came with all the right cables for the GPU? because im getting the same card and alot of people dont opt for the corsair RMx 650 and im planning on getting that :)

Yeah, it came with two PCI-E cables for the graphics card. Both of the cables looped off with extra connector, which I believe is for connecting a second GPU. It was kind of annoying to hide the extra unused bit of cable but whatever.

It's a really good PSU. I've had no problems with it that weren't due to my own incompetence.

I picked the same motherboard, CPU AND CPU fan. With a GTX 1080 wondering if I should have gone for a better CPU fan. I'll be putting it together soon! Looks great!

hey how is your ssd? I am considering buying it but I keep seeing faster ones. How long does it take you to boot windows? I heard the expectancy of the ssd is 80TB so 41gb is recommended usage per day.
