Personal Work/Gaming-PC made by a very first time builder without any prior experience. I've been using laptops with small screens my entire life, so I am pretty happy to be finally using an actual PC! Went for Ryzen because of their price/performance ratio! :)

So far I am pretty happy with the 3700X, however the rather high idle temperature these boys have scared me quite a bit as someone who has never benchmarked a PC before... Also I had quite a few problems finding a vendor for the White 2070 SUPER (they seem to be quite rare, atleast when I was trying to buy one...?)

Part Reviews

cheap and fast. what can I say.

CPU Cooler

very happy with this small little cooler. considering its size i find it impressive that my load temps only go to 72C max...

nice mobo, complicated BIOS as beginner... (it does give you quite some power). latest AGESA update broke a lot of stuff so I am staying on an older BIOS version.

good ram. (very tall tho) lighting is not very homogenous tho. You can see LED differences close up (some are more purple, blueish)

NVMe M.2 SSD - what can I say? It's fast.

I do not know what the life of this drive will be, but the noise it was making in idle made me think something was wrong with my PC (clicking). I had to fix that issue with a program that is writing a small kb file to the drive every min to make it stop from clicking..... very annoying...

go for SSDs...

Video Card

good looking 1440p card. please do not use Geforce Experience to update the drivers.... it broke my boost clock (unusable) had to be fixed with DDU.

otherwise its a very nice card that doesnt get too hot while playing AAA games.

sleek and modern case.

could have more cable space... also why not 2x 120mm fans on top? theres enough space for it...

Very nice B&W build/components. Congratulations! I would just add a 60mm (30+30) RGB strip around the left, bottom and right side of the case to brighten those areas up. A vertical GPU mount would show off that GPU nicely, at the price of a few degree increase in GPU temps.

Yeah I was think about those new phanteks RGB strips that they made... might look pretty cool!

The vertical GPU I did try already but the case doesnt have enough space to fit this gpu in vertical orientation. Atleast I wasnt able to fit it in with ThermalTakes GPU bracket...
