Description

Building this thing was quite the emotional roller coaster, the first issue was that the FX-8320 came with bent pins but after seeing a video with Paul (from Paul's Hardware) Fixing an Athlon CPU with bent pins using a box cutter blade, I decided to clench my butt cheeks and try it myself :) After fixing the CPU I had to install the GPU and motherboard into the case, it was quite weird when I was doing this because of my large hands and the small space in the case. Everything else was a breeze and I can't complain about anything.

Part Reviews

CPU

Very good CPU, I believe that AMD can do a better job with the stock cooler but it still gets the job done.

Motherboard

Awesome motherboard, great instructions, I did a light overclock but I still wouldn't take things far with this.

Video Card

Good GPU, gets high FPS in games and is quite cool. Looking at ~60FPS Medium-High on 1080P

Case

Case has some really tight spaces and the LEDs dim out. :/ Overall a decent case.

Keyboard

Awesome keyboard :))))

I'm looking for a budget build. I have never built a computer before. I want a computer that can play most games, is this a good choice?

Pretty good, I plan on upgrading as soon as I can though for placebo, but this rig runs GTA V on very high 60fps so yes good build

+1 for posting a new AMD build with Ryzen right around the corner. This should serve you well for a while.
