Description

This was my very first build and it took me around 4 hours total to complete. The building process took longer than I had thought but was still a pretty fun experience. I still haven't installed windows on it yet but it will mainly be used for 1080p gaming and browsing the internet.

For what you spent it's a nice system and a nice looking one too. +1 for a great value gaming PC

But that SSD is real dodgy, iv'e had one die after second boot and apparently it has a really low life expectancy.

Thanks! As far as the ssd I just picked a cheap one I found at my local microcenter, thanks for the heads up though.

Good thing Microcenter has a 3 year warranty

I’m not sure about the dodginess. I have used that same ssd in a half a dozen builds without any issues (so far…)

I haven't actually been able to test it cause I haven't installed windows yet but hopefully I can get to it soon

Ouch. I wish they'd make it free, or at least much cheaper.

Do you even lose out on anything other than personalization by not activating windows?

not really lol

no more updates, a lot less personalization

think you can still get updates and not being able to change personalisation settings can be worked around

For gaming though I would think that windows is worth it, especially if you can find a really cheap code "somewhere" online lol

Very nice. Cable management is top notch for a case at that price!

Thanks I tried to make it look nice so I just kinda shoved the extra cables in the 5.25" bay lol

weird fan setup/Cpu cooler fan

The stock cooler on the CPU is actually just as good/better than the Hyper T4 you've got. You could save $25 by returning it, if you'd like!

The wraith stealth?

Yup. You should return the Hyper T4. You'll have more room in the case with the Wraith cooler, too.

But the hyper t4 has a tdp of 140w and the stealth has a tdp of 65w?

Difference is about 3-5 degrees cooler with the T4. However, you've installed it wrong. You should at least rotate it 90 degrees and have the fan pulling air in through the front of the cooler and have it flow out the rear exhaust. On the other hand, the wraith cooler provides more cooling to the CPU surroundings (like the VRMs). Up to you whether or not you want to keep it, but you need to rotate the T4.

The T4 mounts facing that way, its the ONLY direction you can install it on am4 which is kinda annoying.
