Description

Been using a store bought PC for the past six years or so. I upgraded the GPU and PSU to make it last as long as I could. Finally decided it was time for a new computer and wanted to try building one. When I first decided to build a PC I was set on RGB but after making several builds here on PCPP I kept coming back to this one so went with it. Very happy with how it turned out. Haven't made an effort to test full load temps but idle temps seem good. May overclock later but for now this is a huge upgrade from an FX-8300 and RX470. Thanks for looking

Sweet build. Props for fully avoiding RGB components and for the noctua fans

Im surprised that you didn't go for the black Noctua fans. But still a great build as it is the same cpu and gpu im running!

1TB SSD!? Damn...

I like it, only thing I would change is putting the stock be quiet fan on, the nf12 seems out of place.

Thanks! I like the look of the Noctua on the cooler. One black fan would look out of place to me.

Ya I totally agree with fan symmetry, however I take exception with the cooler because of how unique the cooler itself is and the unique fan that goes with it. Any reason you didn’t go with a nh-d15 or u-14s ? Sine it already has matching fans .:)

Wanted to keep everything else black and didn't want to spend more for the black covers

What kind of temps are you getting under load for the GPU and how fast are your GPU fans to sustain that temperature?

Haven't really stressed it yet. What program would you recommend?

I just got my first 2080 XC Ultra Saturday and it seems to run hotter than what some people report. Apex Legends 1440p and Anthem 1440p get it at about 69c to 70c with my fan curve resting at 72% (2100 rpm) Others say they sit at mid 60s with only 1600rpm. Just wanted a comparison lol

Some led is okay, but the stuff is getting so excessive. I like simple and clean builds like this for a change.

Did you happen to test your CPU temperatures before and after putting the Noctua on your cooler? Probably makes a negligible difference, but I'm curious nonetheless. BeQuiet makes some solid fans now too.

I did not. Switched it out as soon as I got the cooler

Given that the airflow in the NZXT H500 is quite low compared to, for example, the Fractal Design Meshicy C; how do you find the noise level and acoustics?

Sound isn't all that bad but I am considering switching to a meshify to hopefully help with gpu temps. That was my first choice anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to decide between the Meshify C and the H500 right now, and I'm leaning more towards the Meshify C.

Or you know, replace the BQ! fan from the cooler because it won't match the rest of your build. I hate seeing criticism like this that isn't constructive in any way, it just creates a negative environment on the site.

I was just being funny. I did not mean to be rude, sorry if it came out that way
