Description

I was inspired to build my first PC after my brother built his second and opened my eyes to a world of customization and gaming. I used to be a console gamer, primarily playing CoD. I built this for "light" gaming with the flexibility to get into more demanding games as well as to be used for days when I work from home.

I had no issues with the build until I picked up Thermaltake Riing Plus 12 fans. I found out during installation that the software is not compatible with Ryzen CPUs and there doesn't seem to be any info out there on this being planned for future enhancements. I returned those and went with the NZXT Hue+ Aer RGB120 bundle and absolutely love it.

Update 2019-01-20: - Upgraded from the Ryzen 5 to the Ryzen 7 2700x - Added Corsair H100i AIO CPU Cooler

These upgrades boosted my FPS in PUBG from 80-90 to consistently over 100. While streaming I used to get 40-50 FPS and am up to 70-80. Next upgrade will be the GPU but idk when.

Updated 2019-02-16 - Upgraded from GTX 1060 to RTX 2070

FPS in PUBG up to 120-140 with view distance at Ultra and all other settings on High. Love this GPU!

Did you have to update your BIOS to get full RAM speeds? If so, which version?

Really slick and inexpensive build. Nice Job!

Also from Ohio, closer to Toledo area than Athens though.

Does the stock 1600 cooler block the closest ram slot when it's the tall RGB ones?

At a glance it looks like it would fit, but I cannot confirm

What speed is your RAM running at?

I have the same motherboard and worried about any RAM issues. I am looking to get the red LED version.
