My First Build (1080p High Gaming)

by RocketSimplicity

Revision 3:

So basically this was my first build, looked at the wrong build guides and had a hell of a frustrating time building it. Yes I know my cable managing doesn’t exist and that the keyboard I got is not a thermaltake, and I will explain it now

Basically the instructions for the CPU cooler were trash and at one point I lost the back plate for the MBO. After a long time I figured out what the instructions meant and it was all smooth sailing until I got Windows 10 which the copy I installed was the first version of Windows 10 and my GPU had serious issues with it. As I had bad internet I could never download the latest version of Windows without getting a BSOD after 15 minutes... eventually I had to take my Computer somewhere with faster internet so I could get 1709 which at the time was the latest version of Windows. Then it turned out that the keyboard I got from Thermaltake was in some European so I got some cheapo keyboard which was trash so I got a Drevo Tyrfing V2 which I might replace because I don’t like black switches...

Anyways, next time I upgrade I’m gonna fix that cable management.

Game Preformance:

1080p 60fps max in pretty much all games I have tested except the Crew 2 and X-Plane 11 which ran at around 45fps.

Btw I have 3 questions:

Is there an alternative to StoreMI and Optane?

If I buy another 2 sticks of the same RAM would it work as 16GB 2 dual channels or what?

Would this work well with an Oculus Rift?

Thanks for your feedback!

Here at Rocket simplicity, we pride ourselves to bad cable management, and not even a water cooler!
