Description

A good friend of mine contacted me out of the blue. He said his cousin had seen a few of my systems for sale on the facebook marketplace and asked if I would build him one. I said come on over, and I got to work on this!

everytime from you it is an i5 750 or 750s lol, love the first gen cpus, you must have alot of those. I still use an i7 860 with a 7850 core edition, still runs games like a boss. Keep up the great work!

Thanks! Yeah, I ordered 30 of these I5 750s directly from china for $7 a piece. I really couldn't go wrong there!

if they don't have the i5 750, get the xeon x3430. They are basically the same cpu, just without the integrated graphics.

Nice, I see you still have some more i5 750s up your sleeve. I see you have a fairly decent gpu; how does the older i5 hold up with modern games?

No real issues thus far!

So far so good with the gpu sag. I wish I would have had some more time to shore it up a little better, but the customer said he was fine with it and didn't want to wait to get it home. He also plans on getting an ssd and a 2tb external drive for his game storage. I use alot of these Thermaltake coolers in these builds and it works great! No issues with overheating or thermal throttling so far. Thanks for all your feedback! I appreciate it! Means a lot!

I agree with you that faster ram doesn't cost much more per set. However, I was able to purchase around 600gb of 1333 ddr3 for around $30 per 8gb. It was the cheapest wholesale lot of non ecc ram I could find at the time. I am almost out of it though, so I will try to find a low cost wholesale lot of 1600 next time! Thanks for the advise!

This cpu cannot deal with ram beyond 1333 so unless the 1600 cost less, no issue with 1333.
