Description

Any questions just ask, I am here to help.

All the parts work very well, i will be upgrading to a 1070/1080 in a few months. I had problems with the fans after a few months of owning them but got them replaced.

Mixing those LL and SP fans I see... just questioning why you went with 2x4GB and 1x8GB of RAM... Otherwise big fan of this build. pc puns intensify

Why do you have a hue+ for your corsair fans?

Because you can never have to much RGB XD

That is quite the budget for an RGB look! I would've gone for a second gen ryzen processor though.

a 1070 or a 1080

First off, that memory configuration is likely costing you a lot of performance, especially considering you're on ryzen, and a 1080 is overkill for 1080p (even at 240hz), and that is made even worse by the relatively low end cpu you have. I would not even consider the 1080 without a proper 2x8gb kit of ram and at least a 1600.

4 cores and 8 threads is way more than enough for 1080p, and what’s wrong with the 1080? Maybe he just likes to see those triple digits at ultra settings. Also I only have a single DIMM config and that’s coming from an old quad channel setup I had previously and I didn’t notice any difference at all. Also I have an r5 1500x

Thanks for the advice, i will definitely keep that in mind when i have money for upgrades.

1080 is definatly not overkill for 240hz. My 1070 will only push around 180 fps.
