Description

Built this last month, never got around to putting it on here. My old build was plagued with problems from the beginning and I decided that a new build would probably be best. As usual I didn't do much research I just went with what I thought was good which will probably affect me in the future but its fine for now.

Future plans are to get another 32gb of ram, a watercooler and a new GPU because the ageing 970 I carried over from my old build isn't able to keep up on the 1440p monitor I just purchased.

As you probably discovered by now I built this as a tribute to the late Jahseh Onfroy (XXXTENTACION) who unfortunately died a few days after I ordered these parts. His music has helped me a lot with issues in my life so I decided I would dedicate this build to him.

I need to work on my cable management both in the case and in my setup in general but apart from that I think my build turned out well.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great CPU for the money, great for my use case (Virtualisation, video editing, etc)

Motherboard

Great motherboard for the price, good features and the inclusion of wifi is nice. The only problem I have with it is that the RGB controller software is a bit hard to use.

Memory

Not much I can say about this, good quality and it was the cheapest when I bought it, probably would have been a better idea to go with faster ram but I couldnt afford it at the time

Storage

Extremely fast, and quite cheap for an NVMe SSD

Storage

While I have had some issues with this SSD in the past and it dying and then coming back to life I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a SATA based SSD

Storage

Decent hard drive, I've used it in a few clients computers and I haven't gotten any complaints

Video Card

While I may have grossly over payed for it, it still holds its own in 2018 in most titles

Case

This is a beautiful case and while it is a bit small it makes up for that in looks and the inclusion of a magnetic filter on the top and in the front is nice

Power Supply

High quality PSU for a decent price

Monitor

Not the exact monitor I used but extremely similar and its a decent monitor

Monitor

I've only had this monitor for a few days but I can already say it is amazing value for what you're getting

Keyboard

While I had some issues with deformed keys and shipping damage this is overall a great keyboard and pleasant to type on

Mouse

I've had this mouse for a few years now and I have to say it's served me very well with it's customizability and decent build quality

Headphones

My favourite pair of headphones, great value for the sound you're getting

Out of curiosity, why would you want to put another 32gb of ram in there? The 32gb you already have in there should be way more than enough for whatever tasks that pc performs
