This PC was built for Zbrush (3D sculpting program) which relies almost entirely on the CPU, and for VR/Gaming, hence the need for a high quality GPU. Because of my professional background (film editing) and an interest in music production, I future-proofed with 32 GB of RAM even though it's a bit overkill. I went with the Mini ITX form factor so it would be portable for VR Gaming. It's also a replacement for my 6 year old Macbook pro, which kindly waited until the PC was completed before it died (RIP buddy.)
Kraken fit is tight but not impossible; involves some careful screwdriver work and finger crossing. Originally installed with fans on top, later flipped the orientation (moved fans into case) for a much better configuration.
Had to order Internal USB port expansion (thanks to the Panda Build for the tip) in order to use the Kraken and the Hue+. Kind of a pain in the butt, but worth it for the amazing lighting.
Hue+ installed with included magnets - very handy as surface is not flat enough to use sticky backing. I love the "Candlelight" setting on the Hue+, the flickering combined with the red and black theme is fantastic.
Planning to add more storage (another SSD, likely a 1 TB) in the near future.
Scroll wheel on mouse squeaks already - but not the end of the world as I mostly use a Wacom tablet/Ps4 controller. I will likely switch to a wireless mouse in the future.
Went with a relatively inexpensive display - coming from using a 17' laptop for the last 7 years even this size feels luxurious.
Update: Fire Strike Benchmarks (No overclocking) added to images, and here: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/16499738
