Description

Absolutely destroys 1440p gaming. I only ended up replacing one of the OEM case fans because they were actually pretty decent quality and I did not end up buying the keyboard listed and just cleaned up an old one I found. All game results are on the highest possible settings: ............................................................................................................................................................. Battlefield V was 70+ fps .............................................................................................................................................................. Anthem was 80+ fps .............................................................................................................................................................. Metro Exodus was 80+ fps .............................................................................................................................................................. Destiny 2 was 120+ fps .............................................................................................................................................................. CS:GO was 200+ fps .............................................................................................................................................................. Keep in mind these results are my low benchmarks, I never saw the frame rate go below those numbers in game.

Part Reviews

CPU

Beast mode! This thing didn't need overclocked but I bumped it up to 4.0 GHz and it slays everything

CPU Cooler

Does its job and looks great, seems well built but time will tell. Only complaint is the Corsair link software threw me for a loop saying my CPU Package was 90 degrees C when it is really around 35 degrees C

Motherboard

Great board for the price but I would not recommend using the onboard WiFi if you can avoid it, I bought a Comfast WiFi adapter that outperforms it and it's a $20 USB drive

Memory

Very fast, performs great with the 2700X. I had to go in the BIOS to set it to 3200, didn't bother overclocking for now

Storage

Fast and affordable for an M.2

Video Card

Slays everything it touches in ultra settings 1440p. Fans seem to keep temps under control well, I have been running this thing hard and only seen it hit 60 C

Case

Great case for the price, only minor complaint might be the air flow design but it does not affect my temps at all

Monitor

Highly recommend this monitor! Very solid stand and easy setup as well. Make sure you go into your display settings and switch the refresh rate to 144 Hz from 60!

Mouse

Decent value, I love mouse4/5 locations

Headphones

I ended up getting the cordless version of this for an extra $15 and I'm glad I did!

Custom

Always used this pad and won't try anything different

Niice build, how loud is the GPU? +1

The GPU is loud if you have the fans cranked up to 100%, but if you leave it on auto it's not loud at all

I would recommend the card so far! It had some of the better reviews vs. the other 2080's out there and it was one of the cheaper ones! If you look at the spec's it's basically as good as the XC edition but cheaper! Not to mention it will handle anything you throw at it in 1080 and 1440. I can't speak on 4K but from what I've read you will get atleast 60 fps in 4K in newer games

since u mentioned it gets around 60 C, how hard do you have the fans running on it?

That's with fans on auto, if you set them to high knowing you are going to game for a few hours the temps stay in low 50's

Great build only thing I would suggest is flipping your aio To be intake instead of exhaust

your cpu cooler you have the fans pulling out air in order to get better thermals you should flip the whole cooler to where it is pulling in air if possible
