Description

Finished build with one GPU, but Forza got a bit choppy at ultra settings with faster cars. Broke down first build and set up the SLI.

The case is gorgeous, but not great with airflow, no surprise there. To compensate, installed 5 NFA14s. After putting in SLI wanted to optimize airflow so the louder GPU fans wouldn't kick on as often. Made burnished aluminum brackets out of raw stock to place fans where necessary, but unintended by the manufacturers.

One NFA14 is blowing directly into the STRIX SLI and a Corsair 140 from the h115 is attached to the outside pulling air out of the case below the top GPU outputs.

Also installed 6 Aigo RGB fans, more for looks than airflow, although they do move some air.

Comfortably bumped the CPU to 4.0 MHz with the voltage at 1.35 and bumped the STRIX SLI graphics to 2037 MHz and the Memory to 5904 MHz without increasing the voltage. Computer is stable.

Stable is what it is about. Your pc bombing out while you game is definitely no fun .Enjoy!

Nice, really like that custom fan mount. Looks great.

Side note though, your listed case is wrong. Currently pointing to the Luxe.

Thanks. Never thought I'd end up getting obsessed with fans and brackets.

I spent longer than I should have looking for the correct case on partpicker, couldn't believe it wasn't there (or was and I missed it), so settled on a phanteks at about the same price.

what a beast! how do you like the monitor? interested in getting one but some have been experiencing a lot of bleed.

When the screen is blank, some ripple can be noticeable, but I have never seen it when gaming. It is great for Assassins, but Witcher loves the LG OLED.

For a prime monitor, I'd pass.

yeah that's what I was afraid of, also a common issue with IP panels so may just get 2 smaller TN panels, one for max 2k gaming and one 4k 60hz monitor

that is the absolutely best thing you can do. I didn't even think about it, bought 4K TV, but oops, 60Hz. Bought this monitor, which I have no complaints about. some games love one but not the other.

I tried, but failed.

I think maybe the reason why Forza was so choppy might have something to do with your CPU running at 4MHz :) Typos aside, love the build, looks fantastic. +1

How do you like your motherboard thinking about getting it

When I was running the one STRIX, I had the rad mounted in the front, but when I SLI'd, I wanted to make sure enough air went through.

The Aigo at the top left exhaust and the two attached to rad both push, the two on the back are only there because I liked they way they looked, they're smack up against the rear glass panel.

They're garbage fans, but adorable. The Noctuas don't even notice they're there.
