Description

This is my second build and my first attempt at a custom loop. I mainly game on the PC but I also do some light editing and occasionally stream.

There's a few things I'd change in hindsight. For example, I'd go with an EVGA reference PCB GPU as EVGA don't void warranty when applying a water block. A reference PCB would have given me more flexibility when choosing a GPU block and they are also slightly shorter. I initially wanted to not have my GPU vertically but it was too long to fit in with my pump/res where it is. Overall I am very happy though.

I have my CPU OC'd to 5Ghz and my GPU +100 core and +1000 memory. (I'm not sure if those benchmark pics I included are any good, just wanted to share).

Water cooling parts (All EKWB): 2x Classic 360mm rads (PE/SE Front/Top), Velocity CPU block, Strix 2080 GPU block with back plate, D5 pump/res combo (w/extended 250mm res), Torque fittings and 12/16 hard tubing.

I can get more photos if anyone's interested.

Let me know what you think!

Your GPU costs more than my entire pc!

Aha, it was quite expensive! Don't forget though this is in AUD, so it'd be closer to $850 USD.

Yeah I understand. You must be rolling in AUD!

Sure am. I certainly wouldn't be spending $1250 USD on a 2080!

Great build. Love the color scheme. I usually do something very similar with any rgb in my builds.

Same thing here with the GPU. Now I'm in a spot where, do I buy the same 2080 ti for nvlink, or buy two new ones and run this one solo.

Also have a 2080 XC Ultra, thought about running nvlink there instead and keep the 2080 Ti solo and saving some money. Idk yet. Strix card doesn't over clock worth a ****. For some reason I got the most garbage A-chip out there. Even with a different bios with the 1000w limit I can't push over +60 on the core, or 2010. Memory's fine.

Thanks! This is my first build with any RGB and I didn't know what to do at first. I'm not a huge fan of the while rainbow effect but I thought what I've got there was kind of neat. I'll probably end up using less RGB components in my next build... I think overall I prefer the clean look.

My Strix was also an absolute pain to OC! I love the ASUS mobos but definitely going with EVGA GPUs in the future. I can't see myself upgrading until the next GPUs come out though. My 2080 does what I need it to do.
