Description

Preface I built my first PC at 12, I found an HP Slimline S5220Y without a hard drive or ram and god a GPU, a new case, RAM, a hard drive. And I used that. I later upgraded to an i5 4460/R9 380x rig. Now at 14 years old with a combination of money from fixing people's computers, christmas and birthday money, I now have my first true high end computer.

Parts I bought Ryzen as opposed to intel because I edit videos for my admittedly small youtube channel, but the extra cores and threads helps. The GTX 1080 drives a triple 1080p setup and most games that run on such a setup run over 60fps all the time. I got the hard drive from an old laptop that broke. I bought the Team Dark memory because I heard that Ryzen likes fast memory and the motherboard because it looked nice and had no red accents that would ruin the purple/blue color scheme. The case I just got today and it is beautiful, I wanted the 400c because of it's tinted acrylic window and overall good design, and I got the white one because it goes well with purple and blue.

Part Reviews

CPU

Amazing CPU for the money, good for video editing and gaming, especially when overclocked.

CPU Cooler

Better performing and looking than the 212 EVO at a similar price.

Motherboard

Good motherboard for the price, supports high speed memory with latest BIOS update and overclocks great.

Storage

It's a good SATA SSD. Not much else to say, it's fast.

Video Card

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST

and quiet which is great.

Warning: may block sata ports on some motherboards

Case

Easy to build in, looks amazing.

Did you have to buy a separate mounting bracket for the aftermarket cooler?

New ones should come with AM4 brackets, although Cryorig will send you one for free if it doesn't.

It's not RGB, it's a thermaltake blue Riing 12 fan.

I use a bent PCIe bracket to hold it up.

How did you OC the memory? Mine only shows 2133 even with XMP 2 on. Same RAM and MOBO as you have here
