Description

Project: Aurora Alpha

This PC is part of my home entertainment system. Overall the system is comprised of my PC, Xbox One X and Microsoft Surface Pro 3, The peripherals and monitors are shared with all the devices , providing easy and effective use of each device. The PC takes full advantage of the RTX 2080, powering the amazing 4k IPS monitor taking centre place in the screen layout.. Paired with a twin set of Samsung Curved 1080p monitors at each side, providing the extra screen real estate for monitoring the system during gaming and when used as a workstation. Bought as a second hand build, this rig has been through some serious upgrades, leaving only the original Motherboard, case and Power supply.

CPU was chosen for its high performance to cost ratio, which runs smoothly at 4.1GHz across all cores. Which is accompanied by the stunning EVGA RTX 2080, With the added room in the case, the EVGA XC Ultra with the larger heatsink, provides flawless cooling when gaming at 4k, with temperature maxing out between 65-70c. The G.Skills RAM both performs and looks great, and with a high capacity (32GB), working across the many applications and multiple monitors is easy and problem free. In addition to all the hardware is the almost controversial RGB lighting. With the current light scheme and wallpaper chosen to match my previous pride n' joy (Alpine 160/Image 5), The RGB pulls the system together, providing a futuristic, sleek and bright look, without going overkill.

Not to forget the featuring Halo Warthog and Brute Chopper taking residence in the case. With the Warthog parked along side the SSDs and the Brute Chopper sitting firmly on the GPU.

Thanks. Weird flex?

It's a meme

Means something like an unusual way to show off. Like a bodybuilder doing a ballerina pose to show off his muscles. That would be a weird flex, I think.

Nice setup. I'm not big fan of RGB, but when it's put together well, it can look quite nice. This rig has a sort of smooth, science fiction feel.

Ah thanks for the explanation. Makes sense now haha. Yeah I have mixed feelings for the RGB. Trying not to over do it but constructive criticism is always welcomed. The case keeps its simply and classy, I'll maybe upload a better picture of the case as a whole.

Hope I didn't sound critical. I really like the look of the whole setup, because you established an aesthetic and followed it through.
