Description

Featured build... Wow thanks! :D much appreciated

About a year ago I posted my Red Dragon build. Today I present my new build. I named it Toxic Manta.

Even last year I thought about a miniITX build but due to several reasons I decided to use a ATX board instead.

The base for this build is the NZXT Manta case in black. It is more subtle than a white one and red wasn't my color of choice this time.

The cables are made by myself again. I used sleeve from MDPC-X and some other stuff like the connectors and cable combs from Gosumodz.

The first pictures shows a Cryorig C1 as CPU cooler. I changed it to a NZXT Kraken X52 rev2 ;)

Those cables have come up very nice. Looks heaps better with the x52. Great build.

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

Thanks. :)

Yes the X52 looks better and isn't that dominant.

Battlefield 3 points 6 months ago

I really like to see a reasonable build featured. Not all of us have resources to do over top builds and this build is just about as solid as it gets. And the desk....hm....just like mine. nice.

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

Thanks mate. I agree with you and I was positive surprised to see my build as a featured one.

Which doesn't mean the other (expensive) builds aren't worth it. They looks great and if I ever have the chance to build a pc without having a look to my pocket it would be a pleasure to use the chance :D

Battlefield 1 point 6 months ago

Your PC is perfectly balanced and clearly you put a lot of time into the choices. Well done, that is why I hope it is featured.

DaMysteryMan 1 Build 2 points 6 months ago

Very nice! Love the custom cable sleeving!

pcp1989 1 Build 2 points 6 months ago

beautiful build i really like the watercooler it looks amazing and really brings your build together imo a good choice to swap the cryorig out..def a +1 from me:)

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 2 points 6 months ago

Thanks! :) I wasn't sure about using an aio watercooling system but it was a good choice especially for the aesthetic of the build

pcp1989 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

def good choice looks super sleek and just fresh looking compared to that big fan cooler(cryorig i think) sorry dont have it pulled up atm now that said the c ryorig pics dont look bad at all thats def a pretty nice looking cooler and i actually like how the fan was facing outside the case but that watercooler look...wow very nice i just wish i could afford one for mine lol also ty for your other replies about the logos and the desk appreciate brother +1 +1 :)

pcp1989 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

also whats that desk called? im looking for one for my new build and i really like yours ands i think itd be big enough for my setup..if you dont know its all good my man but whered you get that ryzen sticker mine only came with a stamp sized little thing that even if i put somewhere youd have to squint to see lol

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 2 points 6 months ago

The desk is the IKEA Karlby walnut countertop and the ALEX drawer and cubicle. The countertop is 186cm wide so a lot of place :)

You mean the Ryzen logo at the right? This is a SSD cover I bought at ColdZero The Strix Logo below that is a SSD cover as well.

Fun fact: ordering the SSD cover in Portugal was cheaper than ordering them in Germany including shipping costs :D

Apielo 2 points 6 months ago

Nice build the cables and parts all look great just sucks that you got your 1070 at what i got my 1070 ti at. I know the 1070 ti might not be worth the extra money but it was the same price as a 1070 for a bit of a performance boost so i couldn't pass it up but great job on the build and the feature.

mattravenmore 1 point 6 months ago

love the desk setup! awesome man!

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

Thank you :D

The room is still in progress ^ All in all I like a clean setup and it is strange how much space a keyboard, mouse and computer case can take on a nearly 2 meter wide desk xD

joshwhite 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

Congrats on the feature. Nice build! Love what you did with the Ryzen box I'm assuming. And the cable management is spot on! Great job

what's the monitor?

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

It is the LG 34UC88-B ultrawide monitor

Berend1453536775435775544 1 point 6 months ago

thx

AsianPartPicker 1 point 6 months ago

Loving it! :o. Beautiful desk, may I ask what it is?

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

IKEA Karlby walnut countertop and ALEX drawer. The most used desk combo at the moment I think :o)

AsianPartPicker 1 point 6 months ago

Is the desk wide enough to accommodate a dual monitor setup?

25" and 27"?

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

The desk is 186cm wide (73.23 inches) The distance to the computer case could be a bit small if you use two 27" monitor and mount them centered to the desk

AsianPartPicker 1 point 6 months ago

I am probably going to mount them with a clamp. Where one mounitor drifts off the side of the desk. While ny gaming monitor is centered a bit

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

Normally a 27" monitor is about 60cm wide. My monitor is about 82cm wide so if you center your gaming monitor there should be no problem :)

WyrmWolf130 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

I love that case. +1

MannyPCs 1 point 6 months ago

Beautiful build. +1

How do you like that monitor?

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

I like the monitor. A lot of space for work. :) I'm working with Blender sometimes and it is great to use it on a 21:9 with 3440x1440

westwandaguys 1 point 6 months ago

Are those cable extensions or fully modular cables?

Nice work

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

The 24 pin cable is a extension I made, the CPU and VGA cables are both fully modular ones

joenguyen2 1 point 6 months ago

20/10

KralixUK 5 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

Very nice looking simple build. the case looks really nice next to the curved monitor +1

DeadCarrot 2 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

Very clean wire management. Overall a very nice build!

+1

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

You didn't see how it looks under my desk xD But I'm working on it :)

Nerdatron_of_Pi 1 point 6 months ago

This is flippin amazing

Zephyr_Exile 1 point 6 months ago

This is really besides the point but what kind of desk is that..? It’s a really smooth looking desk and that’s something I’m kind of looking for! Thank you!

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

The desk is the IKEA Karlby walnut countertop and the ALEX drawer and cubicle. The countertop is the 186cm wide version.

Some people drill holes in it to hide the mouse and keyboard cable. I prefer sleeving both cables together so it looks like one :)

Zephyr_Exile 1 point 6 months ago

Thank you!!!

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 6 months ago

You are welcome

antonjetpack 1 point 6 months ago

THIS IS MY FAVORITE BUILD ON PCPP

_Numbb 1 point 4 months ago

hehe noice

ComputerGuy22 1 point 3 months ago

Does it come with the radiator???

Merisal submitter 3 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

The radiator is part of the NZXT X52. The NZXT X52 is a AiO water cooling system. It is ready-to-use and contains the CPU cooler with a top mounted pump/reservoir and the radiator with fans.
