Description

(Background)

So this is my second build and also my first time posting on here, I built this back in early August last year. Been lurking around checking out builds for a while now and thought it was probably time to show off mine now that im pretty happy with it lol. I've added a couple of things since I first built it in 2018 like rbg fans, custom cables, and an extra HDD I took out an old PC. I use it for mostly gaming, but also for school work and general media sorta stuff (watching youtube, netflix etc.) Next thing I'll most likey add is a M.2 SSD, but my current Sata SSD is still pretty speedy so might not be for awhile =)

Part Reviews

CPU

Awesome Cpu and it's a big step up from my old one!

CPU Cooler

Keeps my Cpu nice and cool!

Motherboard

Good RGB and love the bios, but one of the caseings that protects the pins for the USB 3.0 headers came off during building. Wasn't a huge deal though because you can just slide it back on fairly easily.

Memory

Sync's up to all my stuff though corsair link, also looks amazing!

Storage

Happy with the loading times for games and makes my pc boot up fast! (Although I'll probably switch over to M.2 at some point)

Video Card

Looks awesome and performes that way too!

(Sometimes wish it was a litte less red, but does match the rest of my build lol)

Case

Love this case! - You may have noticed in the picture that i have one 120mm fan mounted in push/pull configuration. Normally since i have a 280mm radiator you can't fit 140mm fans in that config because the Nzxt S340 Elite's Cable Management bar gets in the way. I looked up if there was a way around it and then i found this awsome post! https://www.overclock.net/forum/161-computer-cases/1626585-nzxt-s340-elite-sli-cooling-ez-mod-push-pull-kinda-without-removing-cable-management-bar.html So i bought the adapter and it worked, and now gpu is cooler now =)

Ikr, what's the point of spending $140 on a liquid cooler and getting a k CPU if your not overclocking. There is literally now reason to not do it and has become the standard for any PC build to have overclocking in mind.

I got it beacause I do plan on overclocking just been content with the performance i've already been getting and haven't gotten around to it. Now that you bring it up though i think i'll definately have to work on it this weekend to get the most outta my build!

I would have recommended getting a seagate 2TB for 54 ish dollars instead of paying for two 1TB HDDs.

Orignally only had one HDD, but got the other one out of an old pc recently so it was free :D

Am I the only one bothered by the ONE fan on the rad?

I have two 140mm fans mounted on the other side pulling in air, then followed this post on how to fit in another fan for a push/pull config. https://www.overclock.net/forum/161-computer-cases/1626585-nzxt-s340-elite-sli-cooling-ez-mod-push-pull-kinda-without-removing-cable-management-bar.html (Wasn't able to fit another fan in unless i removed the cable managment bar entirely also think it makes it look kinda unique lol)
