Description

After 15 years of wanting to build a PC I finally did it. Spent lots of time looking into parts(and more money than I thought I would, oops), but I would like feed back from some more experienced builders.

I chose i7-8700 over an i5 just because I wanted a multi threaded processor and I'm a bit of an Intel fanboy. Didn't go with the i7-8700k because it was about $60 to $70 more and I just couldn't justify paying that much more to over clock.

I went with slower RAM so I could keep the 32 gigs with two sticks and maybe put another 32 gigs in later.

I chose the graphics card because is was one of the faster ones with 8 gigs of memory, it came with three games (Division 2, Resident Evil 2, and Devil May Cry 5), and it was within my price range.

I definitely could have gone with a smaller case, next time I will, but I wanted lots of room and lots of airflow.

Over did it with the power supply, but I like the big over head. And I've heard some bad stories from people with pre-built PC that came with wimpy PSU's and fried their PC's.

I got the GPU temp from using MSI Afterburner/Kombuster, and the CPU temps from using Pirme95 (I know, its old). And what I'm using it for it really shouldn't ever get to those temps for more than a few seconds if ever.

Here is what I got from UserBenchmark

-Game 86%, Desk 104%, Work 96%

-CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 - 108.1%

-GPU: AMD RX 590 - 81.3%

-SSD: WD Blue 3D SATA M.2 500GB - 115.9%

-HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB (2016) - 100.9%

-RAM: G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 2666 C19 2x16GB - 89.8%

-MBD: MSI Z390-A PRO (MS-7B98)

Anyways, I'd love some feed back! I wanted to play DOOM Eternal with max or close to max video setting and this is what I came up with. Wish I could have done more RGB stuff just because RGB is known for making faster and better preforming PC(scientifically speaking of coarse), but, you know, it costs extra.
