INTRODUCTION Finally got to build my first ever computer and I am already in my late twenties! Have always bought either a laptop or a pre-built stock computer. Although I will only be using the PC for mild gaming (CS:GO and Playerunknowns Battleground) and office however as I imagined I would be holding this PC for the next 5 to 10 years I might as well build a decent one that can last that period of time with potential of added parts between this time.

PARTS PICKING I pretty much utilised pcpartpicker and for each different part I filtered 4 star~5 star and picked out most popular ones that seemed to be of good value. I have a liking into Cooler Master brand therefore most of the accessories and peripherals are from them. I purchased everything during the End of Financial Year Ebay sales (15%~20% off) plus cashback rewards hence got everything at a good price.

Part Reviews

Pretty Good value CPU, although it had its own cooler however I used aftermarket Cooler Master liquid cooler instead. Got it on special for AUD284.

CPU Cooler

Very good Liquid Cooler and looks slick!

Awesome look fits with my Black and Red style, no problems fitting into my case. Got it on special for AUD158.

Instead of purchasing 8gb, saved the trouble and started with 16gb, was introduced the Kingston Hyper X Fury, does the job except does not have any LED/RGB lighting. Got it on special for AUD154

Seemed like the default SSD, 250gb seems like an okay fit for me. Got it on special for AUD138.

Seemed like the most liked hard drive storage. Got it on special for AUD63.

Video Card

I initially wanted the Radeon graphics cards to go with the AMD CPU however was out of stock everywhere due to mining hype therefore instead went with GeForce. I was choosing between 1060 and 1070 however went with 1060 to let more money go to my monitor. As I am considered a casual gamer so I don't think I would've noticed difference anyway. Got it on special for AUD416.

Awesome case however a little bit pricy, but the look fit my style and had room for future mods and upgrades.

Power Supply

Plenty of opinions saying my power supply is overkill however definitely be capable to take on potential future mods. Got it on special for AUD189.

Operating System

Got it on special for AUD87.

Wireless Network Adapter

My study room had no cabling therefore purchased this. Got it on special for AUD45.

Case Fan

Although not as bright through my tempered glass case however good colour fitting my build. I purchased 6 and switched all my fans.

Never ever had such a clear monitor, feels good playing games with it. Was choosing between 60Hz (approx. $200), this or pay $500 for 144Hz. Chose to go in between as I don't believe I would be able to spot the difference going 144Hz. Got it on special for AUD244.

Love the case - I have one and it's a great case. Bit expensive, big and heavy but loads of space for any components you might want to put in it.

Yeah I must say its damn heavy even without any parts in it, the tinted tempered glass is quite dark which might affect some people wanting the most out of their RGB Led lights/fan lights. Apparently Cooler Master is planning to tint the glass less or make the glass thinner.

Looks very nice, although I'm not a fan of the 24-pin cable hanging over the GPU like that. Looks a bit dangerous.

Yeah neither was I, did not have much other options however the Cooler Master case came with its own GPU holding brackets (x2), I have one of the bracket holding the GPU (without interfering with the fan underneath) and the other holding up at 24-pin cable.

Surprisingly its doing pretty good, this is only for CS GO, PUBG gaming and youtube streaming. Although some youtube streaming is not that great but i suspect thats the problem with the video itself.
