Description

This is my first ever foray into PC building. I'm a big console player (PS4). One day I was playing Skyrim SE and was looking up some mods for it. I knew that there weren't a lot of good mods for my system and it started to really frustrate me. I decided that I needed a better computer since my laptop is getting old and the hinge on it is busted (dumb thing doesn't close). So, I did some research and built this.

Let me just say that after I finished the build, I was more satisfied than I have ever been with anything. I'm proud of my system.

The prices listed are right around what I paid for everything (tax included). I used 2 hard drives; the stock one from my PS4 that I upgraded months ago and one from an old laptop.

Did some OCing on the GPU, but it doesn't want to really get past 2050MHz (small detail I found out about the card after it was bought).

Update: Overclocked my CPU to 4500MHz at 1.325v. Can probably go higher, but I don't really need it to.

Update 2: Decided to return my 120mm radiator and purchase a 240; others convinced me to do it and I'm glad they did. Also upgraded the power supply since I may run SLI in the future (not to mention I was only 120W away from the max...).

Update 3: Added white mats.

Update 4: Added the NZXT Hue+ and changed three fans to the NZXT AER RGB120.

Update 5: Bought the PG348Q

Why did you choose the 120mm radiator instead of the 240mm version of this cooler? The 120mm leaves the bottom of the case looking empty.

Otherwise, amazing build. I absolutely love the color scheme of your build. +1

Thanks!

I chose the smaller one for space as I may want to put something there in the future.

I am currently finishing up my build and it is black and white. I admire your build because of the similarity. Look out for my post within the next few weeks :)

Where'd you get the white PSU cables? Did you already have them? And did you have to buy them seperately from the PSU?

I bought them separately from Amazon specifically for my PSU. They're technically from CableMod.

I think it looks better without the RGB.

P.S.: I am looking through old builds because I am bored.

Very good. I didn't really have to adjust much in the settings. Even just some of the standard lighting modes look good on it.

The brightness was turned down to 40 and the contrast was set at 80. Pretty sure that was all.
