Update_Otkober 2018 New Fans , Overclock Timespy: 6665_55C 66C Max CPU/GPU

Update_Oktober 2018 Changed the Fan configuration for better Colling (negative Pressure) also enabled the Boost Clock of the CPU_ Firstrike: 15459_49C 60C Max CPU/GPU Timespy: 5975_46C 60C Max CPU/GPU

Build September 2017_ The goal of this build was to follow the black and white theme like ying and yang, also it was very important to have a very cool inside of the PC 33°C CPU and 34°C GPU idel and 43°C CPU and 58° GPU on max load. Not Overclocked, even the clockboost of the CPU is disabled in BIOS to get the temps as low as possible. Firestirke score: 15443 Timespy score: 5823

FPS average on Heaven Benchmark 4.0, Quality High, Tessellation Moderate, Mode 2560x1080: 117,3

AIRFLOW: The NZXT Elite S340 is relative short so the air does not have to travel much, but the front panel only has a small intake on the top and bottom! i tested it without the front panel and i got 3C° Cooler results after benchmarking. So i made a Casemod for better Airflow i cut out the plastic on the front Panel underneath the Metal so more air can flow in -2°C was the result. The Radeon RX Vega 56 is a blower style, the heat goes out directly behind the PC and does not pass the CPU witch i find is a good thing, because the CPU Cooler is relative small (good enough) but it would not be good if it gets the extra heat from the GPU. Playing Rocked League with 150 FPS and 2560x1080p the Temperature are 43°C on CPU and 58°C on GPU MAX.

I got the sapphire Radeon Vega 56 for 430€ which was a very cheap price for the time. Now you can find a GTX 1070ti sometimes for 390€ but if i get a Radon Vega 56 for under 400€ i still take the AMD GPU because of the Freesinc Support.

For RGB Lighting i bought a cheap 14€ RGP Lighting strip with USB Connector and Remote control. The Monitor i got on Amazonday for 450€ instead of 550€ LG 34UC79G-B 34” Curved UltraWide Gaming-Monitor 144Hrz.

I got two white ring LED Fans PWM 4 Pins from upHere for 14€ + some anti vibration rubber from Noctua

Radeon is a GPU manufacturer like Nvidia. Some companies buy their chips/boards and re-brand them (like ROG, Aorus, MSI, etc). Radeon is owned by AMD.

Quite a nice build. The CPU and GPU are a perfect match! Good job!

Vega 56 is a decent card. I saw the Sapphire model for as low as 399, so I may consider it. Good build

How are the temperatures on that Vega 56?

on Balanced settings (radeon Settings) i get a maximum of 75°C Overwatch Epic settings.

Overclocked on time Spy (+50% Power Target and faster fans) I get a max of 66°C and a score of 6869

Balanced on time Spy I get a max of 70°C and a score of 5764

I recoment do adjust the Fan on the Radeon settings so you can have much better temps. Put the slide for temperatur target to 80C-65C and the fan speed on 1000-2400 That will make the Temperature drop 10°C

Doesn't sound too bad for a reference cooler. I also got a reference Vega 56 recently, so I wanted to see what others were getting in terms of temperatures. Did you do any undervolting on it?

Not a Vega fan, but looks really good (along with the cpu cooler) with the white theme of the case... Like you said

The goal of this build was to follow the black and white theme like ying and yang

Now this

So i made a Casemod for better Airflow i cut out the plastik on the front of the Case so more air can flow in

Especially for you that

also it was very important to have a very cool inside of the PC

Aesthetics are cool but functionality over looks, anyday. With that case, you should have go with water cooling solutions. Air cooler solutions, it's a better bet with a good open airflow PC.

+1

Thanks for the Comment ^.

A good watercooler would have been great, but the NZXT Case does not support doubble fan + Radiator on the Top. As you said another Case would be good. But a good watercooler which is better than this Air cooler would have been more expensive.

True true. Well, at least you got everything sorted out and a build that works as intended and looks clean and alike the theme you mentioned.
