Description

Started out as a prebuilt IBuyPower PC from BestBuy in 2013. (I did not select parts, BestBuy sold it as is)

  • AMD FX6300
  • MSI 760GMA-P34 (FX)
  • 8GB ram (random brand)
  • MSI GT640
  • WD Blue 1TB
  • 400W PSU (random brand)
  • Price: $626.86

Now the CPU, HDD, and optical drive are the only parts from that PC.

The Acer B296CLbmiidprz 29.0" is refurbished

Also got a backplate for the 970 from ColdZero.eu

My idle temps are with all fans turned to 10%-20% speed (including the CPU cooler). The load temps are with the fans at 50%-60% speed. The hard drives are still the loudest

Yeah. Haha. If only I waited a few more months. I bought it March 2015 when 8gb kit was about $80 and 16gb kit was about $120+

I honestly like the 760T more. But the 780T is still a great case :)

Yeah my friend bought a i5-4690K for $199.99. They also had a $40 off any motherboard if you buy a CPU. So he got an open box MSI Z97 gaming 5 for only $10. Only missing one sata cable and one of the ram holder clips was broken.

Yes, Majorly! My friend had a 970 with a 6300 then he upgraded to an i7 and was getting the most out of his GPU.

You might want to invest in some sleeved cable extensions.

I actually have a white cable set from cablemods but after a year switched them back to the corsair flat ribboned cables because they were easier to manage. I only kept the sata cables because they were longer

Where did you get this refurbished model at? Really wanting a widescreen and love the look of that monitor.

From Acer's eBay store. I'm not sure if they sell any at the moment. I got it April 2014

No. It uses a 135mm fan. Really quiet.

It's in between the 2 radiators.

Yes. I can use my fan controller to turn it off and I still get around 30 C during normal use
