So this PC was bought off a local craigslist deal.. unfortunately the 980Ti ended up being dead :( but the greatest part it, I ended up paying 300 for this PC! Incredible right?!

Plan to get a 1070 or 1080 for the right price, was hoping this 980Ti would still be alive but it died :(

First off, that seller is an a-hole for selling you a dead GPU. Secondly, you need to airdust that mf ASAP. Third, if the GPU was DOA, you might want to check on the other components and make sure they work, too.

Set it done, and I knew. Because I bought the PC originally "for parts only".

All parts and components work perfectly, currently using it right now. Seller listed that the PC turned off, and wouldn't turned back on. So I took it home, 24 pin was unplugged, and with the 8+6 pin power to the GPU, the PC just did not want to turn on at all. So PC booted up successfully without the GPU :) so it's all good. Just on the hunt for a GPU now.

OP nails the recovery.

I mean, sure I lost a 980Ti. But as long the PC works that's all that matters imo lol :)

Still worth something, though. At the very least you could sell it for parts.

I would second this, heck I would mind paying a few bucks to have it as a cool decoration.

Oh yeah, i'm gonna keep it just for decoration to be honest.
