Description

This build was for my buddy Deric to use primarily as a gaming machine but also a great editing station. It was quite the work in progress and went through a couple iterations as far as fan configuration and adding extra memory and the Corsair LNP over the course of the last month. The case was a huge pain in the ***. Keeping the glass clean whenever we moved it or took the panels on/off, finger print nightmare. For a case that requires to look clean as much as possible, the cable management options is definitely in need of help when it comes to the bottom connections of the motherboard. We've been talking about taking a dremel and drill to create slots through the PSU shroud, but for now we're content. My last complaint about the case is that the PSU shroud is just wide open for everyone to see all the cables. We may have a lead on a 3d printed cover for it and will update if we do get it. I also didn't like that the H100i v2 had a cable for USB connection that had to run across the middle of the motherboard. Otherwise I'm really happy with how the build turned out. The case does look great beyond the flaws I mentioned and the HD fans are impressive with their colors. He wanted lots of RGB to go with all his RGB peripherals and he got it. If I could back I would have gone with the Kraken x62 that I used for my brother's build, the RGB would have better suited this build and it wouldn't have had that pesky cable. Absolutely loved playing DOOM on the monitor for this build, definitely need to get one for myself.

Right? I'm not sure how much more RGB we could have added other than the Kraken.

Man, you got really lucky with that display. Minimally invasive IPS glow. Also +1 because colors.

Thanks for the comment! We actually had a horrible time getting it even looking that good with that case. There aren't a ton of options for hiding cables or even cut out in the PSU housing. Still thinking about drilling some holes and using a dremel to make more options.

Did you not need a commander pro to control the rgb fans
