Description

This was my first time building a computer. I went a little overboard I think. Which is why it took me so long to talk myself into doing it lol. It went together pretty easily with no issues of any kind.

Ive debated on replacing the radiator and exhaust fans with matching RGB. The only reason I haven't yet was because I felt it might be too much RGB. I didn't want to take too much away from RGB Aura in the case. Any thoughts on this?

It’s working out ok. Had an issue getting it to work properly on Ark but once I got it working it made a huge difference.

I still want to get a second monitor. I don't have much room for it with this desk lol.

I tried to be lol. The rear fan is a cooler master. Because of my OCD; Ive debated on switching it. It was the better choice when it came down to exhaust fans. It still bothers me at times though haha.

Great cable management and build. I have the same case with different components but have been unable to keep some of the psu cable bundles from being visible through the huge front opening in the the psu shroud, despite bundling and zip tying them into the smallest possible foot print. Yours aren't visible at all. Way to go! +1

Hey mate! Just read your response, I also have the same case and I did some shopping around a few months back on Corsair's website and found this: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/crystal-570x-psu-shroud-cover

Here's a link of what that looks like installed (I also purchased grommets and sliced a hole in the top of the shroud for further cable management.

It looks good! Yea that's where I found mine. They should've included it with the case. Its stupid that you have to buy it separate.

Thx for the heads up, I'll definitely be buying that:)

Corsair released a PSU shroud cover for it. You can find it on their website. Its only a few dollars. It makes a big difference.

I have a 7700k and a single gtx 1080. I am wondering the performance gains you get with a second 1080? I am either going to get another 1080 when the prices come down or sell the 1080 and upgrade to Volta. What would you do?

Its hard to say really. If the game you're playing is SLI compatible it makes a pretty big difference. If the game is not sometimes it can actually run worse. I had to manually go in to Nvidia Control Panel and set certain games for single GPU. Its nice but it can be a pain in the *** at times.

Thx for the info! If SLI doesn't work sometimes and you might have to go back to just one 1080 then even if voltas performance gains over the 1080 aren't as good as SLI I think Volta might be the better option just for less trouble, less heat output and not having to buy a new power supply. I guess pricing will be the final decider.

Yea I agree. Volta would be a better option if you have the money for it. Less headaches.

nice!

how's the temps on these two bad boys?

Depends on how I’m running them. Usually without any major overclocking and not having the power set for maximum performance. The top usually peaks at 65-67c and the bottom is usually high 50s low 60s

why a 7700K?

Because it's still very capable, and a solid choice?

Maybe he bought it before Coffee Lake was released.

No coffee lake mobo's and kaby lake mobo's are not compatible. The Maximus 9 is a kaby lake and the 10 is a coffee lake. He has the 9

Formula X is for Coffee Lake, this is a Kaby Lake motherboard.

I bought that before the 8700k was released. If that’s where you’re going with this.
